Hip Pain

Hi my sone was born with Hip dysplasia and wore a splint for 6months. He is now 18 and is having pain when walking and feels the hip jars when walking and the hip also pops out when bending down Im worried this may be due to his Hip dysplasia as a child. Can you advise on what you think the problem may be>>

I would suggest you to take your son for recent scans to understand his bone development and also to rule out present deformities or problems of the hip.

Careful developmental monitoring and early intervention are indicated.

Follow up with an orthopedician.
