Hip surgery - aesthetic purposes?

Is it possible that through hip replacement surgery the width of one's hip bones can be reduced?
My hip bones suddenly grew from 33" to 37" in a period of 2-3 months. I'm currently 18 and from what I learned from other people my age, this growth is abnormal. I have been clinically depressed for half a year due to this issue.
Please help me.
