How urgent is the surgery for meniscus tear

Dear Doctor
I m a 25yrs old female, who is into more physical activities like dancing n all..
I had pain in right knee for which i had got a MRI scan done. My MRI Scan reports as:-
1.Medial meniscus Tear suggestive of  Grade II/III.
2.Evidence of Garde I/sprain of the ACL
3.Mild synovial Effusion.
I had visited the doctor for the same.But still i m in a dilema whether a surgery is required at this stage or can be done at a later stages. I m comfortable enough to walk now. Yes, i have pain when i stress my Knee ...otherwise i m doing fine.
Kindly suggest.

Dear Ruchi,
you need a surgery. It's a must as you are only 25 with an active lifestyle that involves dance also. Otherwise, by the time you are 40 years, your knee will look like that of 55 years.The tear is around grade -3. Please visit an arthoscopic specialist, who will do the needful. And keep informing us and asking more.
