Is this Labral Tear???

Is this Labral Tear???

I was training jiu jitsu and dislocated my left shoulder last week. I'm 22 years old, 190 lbs, very physically active (workout atleast 5 days a week) and i am in great health condition. I recently had an MRI done and consultation by two separate doctors. Both doctors agreed there was a labral tear and surgery needed to be performed; however, once the mri lab write-up arrived it indicated that there were no tears but rather many lesions, inflammation, sprains, and strains, and tendonitis. The final doctor ordered to cancel surgery, commence with a cortisone shot and continue with physical therapy twice a week for 6 weeks (than see where we stand from there). I however don't want to go through this therapy for 6 weeks and end up having to have surgery anyways if it is a tear in the first place. It was not a contrast MRI but rather just a basic one. the pain is almost unbearable and the codone they gave me is essentially useless at times. The image attached is of Volume GRE Axial

Hello!

I would suggest you conservative therapy and avoid surgery as this can be corrected.

I would also suggest you to get the MRI reported by an expert radiologist and to repeat a good contrast one if required.

Keep surgical intervention as the last option if conservative approach fails.

Take care!
