Hello.. I am in good shape earlt 30s and run about twice a week... My knee has hurt on and off for about 8 years..  I have never had any serious problems and on a scale of 1 to 10 the pain is only about a 1 now.. At its worst was only a 2.. I also have a job where I am on my feet for 8 hours.. But the knee that hurts is only left leg on the side of the knee (every once and a while the front hurts just a little).. anyway. I have driven a stick shift for over ten years and the part of the knee that hurts I beleive is from this.. has anybody heard of this? How much damage could I have done to the KNee.. I have the car for two more years lease should I try to get out and get an auto trans?  Also.. If it is not a major problem i am fine just living with it for two more years it does not really bother me just annoys me sometimes?  Thanks for any advice? Sorry if there are spell errors.. Thabks so so much

Hello,

You need to visit an orthopedician for proper diagnosis before you go ahead for the treatment or any decision about your vehicle.

The knee pain can be associated with any condition so a proper examination and diagnosis is required if it bothers you. It can be  knee injury  due to knee sprain , prior knee injury ,dislocated knee , dislocated patella, femoral condyle fracture,  torn ligament , knee overuse , knee infection due to any bacterial infection , knee inflammation due to synovitis  or bursitis or Knee arthritis  due to  arthritis , osteoarthritis , rheumatoid arthritis  or gout  and any  tumor.

Take care!
