Knee pain at 21

Knee pain at 21

So I just started a waitressing job where I have to stand for long periods of time. I have done this before with no problems when I was in High school but after standing for roughly 30 minutes I was in a lot of pain at my knee and radiating down my lower leg. I recently suffered a nasty fall of a horse and landed almost totally on my right knee. I have also been fallen on (by the horse) four times over the last 10 or so years the mpst recent one coming a week after the nasty fall. My knee pain is equal in both knees and so intense that I was in tears by the end of the night and could barely walk. Any advice or people with the same problems?

Dear friend,
the heels are main culprit. I hope it,s not a high heel which is pencil tip. Please make your footwear more comfortable, if you want to avoid this problem. Also, please take care of your back, as this job demands lot of standing, which itself, can cause low back ache.
Please feel free to ask me more,
regards

Dear Friend,

I recently went through some problems with my knee as well after a slight fall. I could not even bare weight onto my leg. I ended up going to a specialist and he gave me a shot that did indeed help it for a short period of time quite well. The pain came back just not full force and I can not get another shot for three months.  He mentioned a MRI on it if it's not better so I don't know. You may want to get yourself looked at due to those falls. You could have damaged something and the longer you wait on it the most damage it may cause, I don't know...not a doctor just what I would think. I wish you luck!

When you start having these problems it is always good to go to basics and good ergonomics.
Wear proper footwear, for good support to arch of your foot, toes and heels. (I agree with Dr Abhijeet)
Do not stand for long hours, sit for some time. While sitting the back rest is very important and while sleeping again the bed should be proper.
Balanced diet and if these symptoms do not go, you have to go for a specialist and do an X-ray/Scan/MRI to diagnose your case and go for conservative treatment.
Take care!
