Hi there!

Well, without an evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms or suggest a management plan. A few possibilities include patellar dislocation, chondromalacia patellae, infections/ inflammations, inflammations like bursitis, tendonitis, cyst formation, bone growths/ masses, nerve impingement/ pressure, fractures, etc. I would suggest consulting an orthopedician for an evaluation. After a diagnosis is made it would be managed accordingly. Meanwhile you may try resting the knee. Application of ice-packs or Tylenol may be used for symptomatic relief as well.
Hope this helps.

Take care!

ok although it has no inflammation or no swollen parts it only occurs when i apply pressure with bending down. Could soccer be the cause? and thanks for the help. Doctor!

Hi again!

Thank you for your kind words. Well yes, injury while playing soccer could be a cause. Since this just occurs on application of pressure, I would not suspect the cause to be severe; though mild inflammation is still a possibility. You may like to get this evaluated by your primary care physician or an orthopedician; or alternatively you may try resting the knee for 1-2 weeks and some tylenol if there is pain. If this does not tend to improve you may consider a medical evaluation.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
