Knee pain

I was told that I have patella feminel pain, I am use to having trouble kneeling and walking after a shift at work and and my knee being weak and the knee cap moving around, but lately even when I am not doing anything it feels as though something is push up on my knee cap, and extremely painful and I cant get the pain to go away. At time it feels as though something is being wedged under my knee cap. I just don't know how to make the pain go away and it is getting worse every time it happens.

Hi again!

It is likely that your symptoms are due to patello-femoral syndrome and associated inflammation; however other possibilities, as mentioned in the previous post, need to be ruled out as well; especially since you see little improvement. If there are no other issues diagnosed, the management plan may need to be revised. I would suggest consulting an orthopedician for the same.
Hope this is useful.

They dont have me on any NSAIDS, but i have two different braces they have me wear. The pain, the pressure and pushing up feeling has started when I am not even doing anything now. I can be laying in bed and the pain happens and its just a horrible pain.

Hi there!

I am not sure if you have already consulted an orthopedician. In case you haven’t, I would suggest consulting one. Patello-femoral syndrome is typically managed with NSAIDS and physical exercises to strengthen the muscle around the knee joint. However with your symptoms, the presence of loose bodies and internal knee injuries may need to be ruled out. You may also require a knee brace to stabilize the patella if suggested. At this stage I would advise seeing an orthopedician and after an evaluation a management plan can be drafted accordingly.
Hope this is useful.
