Lidoderm for Failed Back Surgery

I have been using Lidoderm Patches for my back and fibromyalgia points, especially my knees and they really help, keeping me from taking heavy drugs. My insurance carrier all of a sudden has denied them saying they are not significant. DOes anyone have any research, especially for the back and knees?

Hi there!

Lidoderm Patches contain and anesthetic and may help relieve pain in the condition. If prescribed by your treating physician, there is no reason that your insurance should deny the claim. I would suggest talking to your treating physician about this and trying to get his/ her office have a talk with the insurance guys.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
