Lumbar spine

Follow up to my post  regarding my lower back pain. I did already my X-ray, lumbar scan and now my MRI of Lumbar spine. Per findings at L4-5 level, Posterior disc bulge with annula tear with mild posterolateral osteophytosis are causing corresponding thecal sac indention and mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing.
Impression:Degenerative dics desease, Thecal indentation and mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing at L4-5 level due to dis bulge with mild posterolateral ostephytosis at this level.
Doctor give 2 medicine for pain killer for 1 weeks and do some physiotherapy, but almost 2 weeks already still i feel the pain specially when i get up in the morning.
Pls. any advise.

thanks,
susan

Hello!

I would suggest you to go for complete lifestyle changes. There is some amount of degenerative disc changes with age and also with trauma, accident and wrong ergonomics it may progress to degenerative disc disease.

Follow proper ergonomics in your daily living while sitting, sleeping and working.

Maintain normal BMI and also undergo physiotherapy to increase the strength of back muscles. It may take time but continue physiotherapy and continue physical exercise and follow up with an orthopedician for change in NSAIDs and other medications.

Take care!
