Lump on Clavicle

This condition is getting very aggravating. I have had a lump on my left clavicle for 2 months. I went to two different doctors. One gave me a muscle relaxer, which was NO help. The second one diagnosed inflammation and put me on a steroid pac for 6 days, which helped with the pain in the shoulder area, but as soon as the medicine was gone, the pain came back. The lump never went away. X rays came back negative. I take ibuprofen for the pain, but I cannot continue to take that day in and day out. Is this something I am just going to have to put up with? Is there a possibility that it's something other than inflammation?

This sounds to be a ganglion cyst its harmless unless it pinges on nerves or other structure.....you may have it removed but theres a small chance it may return....its harmless but if its bothering you , an orthopedic surgeon may remove it in a simple procedure

The bump is hard and bony, not soft at all. I looked it up and they are common on the wrist, hand,and foot. Thanks for your reply, it's something to ask the doctor.

yes well the doctor needs to see the lump and examine it personally not through a forum all the best

I have gone to two different doctors, that is why it's so frustrating! I'll go back, though, to see if anything else can be done. Thanks.

Same thing left clavicle, and its bony and hard.  I sent you a personal message also.  I cannot take the pain anymore.  ITs making my neck and shoulder stiff.  Hurts to move it.  Pulling sensation on movement.  Being sent this week for a clavicle x-ray and also cervical spine due to degenerative disc disease which I have had for over 20 years.
This whole thing is upsetting as well as scary for me.  Nobody knows what I am talking about,not even the doctor.  I hope you get on here to respond.
