Thanks Dr.Kokil for your reply. my mother is feeling extreme weakness and she is not able to move without anyone's help.I hope it can be handled through medication and exercise (as you shared) and there would be no need of surgery.
Can you please suggest any precautions for my mother to take?

Thanks again.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
Your mother has bulging discs between L3-4 and L4-5, which though do not press on the spinal cord yet (just the outer covering—thecal sac), they can cause a lot of pain. This can be managed conservatively. This conservative treatment involves pain killers, anti-inflammatory medications, epidural injections, steroid injections, corsets and braces and physiotherapy. Please consult your mother’s doctor regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
