Medial Meniscus

Hi guys, I got a question about my knee.
I am a competitive soccer player and been playing for many years. Until 6 years ago my right knee started having pain especially when i try to bend it inwards. So last year i got my MRI done and the result was that, at the back of the medial meniscus horn there was a second degree degeneration ( no tears ) Eventhough i have been to pyhsioteraphy it did not help healing my knee. I can still perform playing soccer when i warm up and i feel no pain. However i want this problem to be completely gone.
Please share your answers if you have any idea of what to do.
Thanks and your answers will be apreciated.

Hello!

The meniscus grows weaker with age. The tissue that makes up the meniscus becomes degenerative and is much easier to tear.

If you have any complications and if the menisci will not heal then for lack of a better available treatment, surgical removal of the painful, defective meniscal tissue is usually the most appropriate course of action.

Discuss with your orthopedician.

Take care!
