Medial epicondylitis/flexor tendonitis

Doctor diagnosed me with flexor tendonitis Dec. 07 and I declined a cortisone shot two weeks later because of temporary efficacy.  I'm slowly but sure getting better after having discovered I have more similarities to golfer's elbow (even though the injury is from playing guitar) with some self massage.  The injured arm has also experienced some visible atrophy simply due to hardly ever using it in an effort to rest it.  My question pertains to some median nerve tenderness in the inner bicep area.  I'm just wondering if that's normal or due to the loss of muscle mass in that area making the nerve more vulnerable.  The normal arm doesn't experience any tingling in the thumb and first 2 fingers from massage, just the injured one.  I also occasional "warm to hot" feelings in my forearm and hand.  Is this somewhat of a return of normal bloodflow in the injured area or what?  Please help with some insight.  Thanks!

Ibuprophen for three weeks, resting knee but pain and discomfort continue. Is there any way I can accelerate the healing?
