Medtronic Pain Pump

I had a pain pump put in July 2007, I just found out on October 19, 2007 that it is upside down.  When I went to the pain clinic to have new medicine aded to the pump the Dr. could not find the hole for filling it.  After x-raying me the Dr. discovered the pump is upside down.  I was then sent to the surgeon that put the pump in.  The surgeon said the pump flipped over on it's own sometime after he put it in.  Have you ever heard of this happening?

I had the Synchromed II implanted on 11/5/2007 at Tri Valley in Vista.  It went very well, outpatient surgery.  For the first 6 weeks you MUST wear an "abdominal binder", (Medicare Durable Medical Equipment $31.00).  The pump will invert if not held stable until scar tissue forms.
BTW the recall is only in Europe with a pump used there only.  I can't recall the name but can get it again if any interest.   I started at 0.3502/mg/day (still some pain 1 to 10 it was a 5. )   Doc just boosted it to 0.4885/mg/day pain level better, about a 3.    Are you still being "adjusted?

I would be careful with this pump, I saw something on TV about a lawsuit involving a Pain pump and they said to contact them about it.
