My wife's dad

he fell after getting dizzy bending down to change clothes. he is 86 and in the hospital at this time. his brain evidently swelled some after talking a bad fall and hitting his head on the dresser, causing a huge black eye and requiering stiches on his forehead. Bad fall. Someone there told us that there is a 96 hour wait time for the brain to peak at swelling then start reversing. Yesterday was 96 hours. And they said it did not look good for him. When he got to the emergency, he was cohearant. the next day or two he slowly started to become tired and not able to carry on a conversation. Yesterday his heart rate was up. He is on a pacemaker and is a heavy smoker. But he had some response when I started talking about his harley davidson rebuild. My wife is beside herself with worry. I don't think we should give up on him.
