Neck x-ray, weird symptoms
http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/14528_10200113633105947_1435808201_n.jpg

I am a 21 yr old female, this is a recent x-ray of my neck from dentist's office. I am having weird symptoms with my neck, like soreness and numbness in the back of my head.  I was in a car accident 2 years ago.  Does this look like normal? I tried looking up a "normal neck" but I still have no idea what is normal or not...so if anyone is skilled in this please help! :)

Hi there!

Though this is an underexposed film, the spine appears to the structurally normal, while there may be some muscular spasm present. Other possible causes that may need to be considered include postural issues, neuro-muscular causes such as nerve impingement, injuries to muscles/ ligaments etc inflammations, referred pain from other regions, micronutrient deficiencies etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
