New Hip Issues for me

New Hip Issues for me

Hi All,
After 4 surgeries on my spine (l4-5 fusion with instrumentation for bi-lateral recess and spinal stenosis; c4-6 fusion with instrumentation for severe instability; l1-2 laminectomy and l3-4 microdiscectomy - both for herniated disks) my right hip pain has started again - that ice pick pain in the hip radiating down my leg.  My new PM doc did an MRI - bi-lateral hips and the report says for the (L)  HIP Finding of a labral tear, with assoc paralabral cyst. the tear is anterior superior.; mild trochanteric bursitis, minimal tendinopathy involving the gluteus medius tendon. the gluteus medius tendon is attenuated. (R) HIP findings consistent with a trochanteric bursitis, with a partial tear of the gluteus medius attachment upon the greater trochanter.

Has anybody had anything similar? what does this mean? could this be the reason why I fall so much?

I'm currently 49 y/o and my first spinal surgery was done at age 43.  Thanks!
