Old Ankle Injury

I am 28 years old. I sprained my ankle pretty bad over a year ago playing Volleyball. I was on crutches for about a week and a half, I stayed off of it as much as I could. I would stretch it, run hot/cold water on it a few times a day and did the best I could to rehab the ankle. Still over a year later it is tense. I have about 90% of the mobility that I used to. It is also often tender to touch. The ankle still appears bigger than my other one also. The doctor did say it would have been better that I broke it in her opinion. Any ideas on what I can do for this ongoing problem? Or is it basically too late now? Any suggestions would be great!

I think :You still have chronic soft tissue injury in your ankle joint and ankle fat pad which locate between achilles tendon and back of ankle joint,it is possibly sensitive and hard to relive as bad circulation.

Find a reputable medical acupuncturist,intensive acupuncture can help.
