Operated flat feet

I have had planovalgus feet since childhood. My feet were always tired and hurting, and I couldn't always participate in sports at school. I had to wear special shoes, because it was so difficult to find regular ones that fitted.

I had Kidner operation done on my both feet and wore plastic casts for six weeks, when I was 11 years old, but I didn't benefit from it much. It has actually caused extra problems, I guess. I had to learn how to walk again, and because I didn't receive any physical therapy, it took a long time and I'm not sure if my walking is normal even now, 16 years later. I'm always 'aware' of my steps. Since the surgery I also haven't been able to jump or make quick movements without sharp pains - it feels like something is ripping in my foot. I can't run either. When I try to stretch my feet or do exercises to strengthen them, I feel like something gets painfully dislocated and I have to put it back with my hands. Could just be some kind of cramping, too, I'm not sure.

I love having long walks, but my feet still start hurting every time and get tired and swollen easily, just as they did in childhood. They also bleed all the time, because there just aren't shoes that would fit and not cause blisters. I have lived my whole life with these pains, so I don't think about them much when I have them, but of course it would be easier if there was something to do. I remember my doctor saying 16 years ago, that the next and only step would be even more invasive surgery to break my instep bones and fuse them together. I don't want to have that kind of surgery.

I've included a photo of my feet. The red arrows show, where they hurt when I walk or stand too long, and the blue arrows point to the place where the sharp and shooting pain occurs, when I jump, run or make some other quick movements. If anyone knows, what I could do to help my feet ache less, or what the sharp and intense pain and cramping in the operated area is, I would be thankful.

I would have liked to post another photo showing my feet from backwards, but I could only post one, so here is a link: http://i451.photobucket.com/albums/qq240/minella81/feet.jpg
