Osteochondroma question

by kat55546, Sep 07, 2007 08:28AM
I am due to have an osteochondroma removed near my right knee in a week's time, I am wondering how long it will take me to recover and get back on my feet again, my consultant has not been forthcoming with the answers to my questions!!
Thanks

I had an osteochondroma removed from the same spot. My dr said i would be on crutches for 1-2 weeks. I was on them for 2 months. It was a touch recovering. Come to find i have a strong feeling it grew back because i feel a lump and i feel pain there.

To: Dear kat,
This depends on the size of the growth and the damage to your bones. It is difficult to tell at this point but anything between 1 to 3 months depending on all factors is what you need to be prepared with.
Take care!
