Pain above knee after replacement

I have had pain above the knee replacement since surgery a year ago. X-rays show that the knee replacement was successful but I have swelling and pain on top of my thigh right above knee replacement. I was placed on Aleve and that has not helped. After one year of this pain, is there any procedures available that they can look inside of my upper leg to see what is going on as an x-ray does not show anything

Can you elaborate on the swelling you have developed. Was it  examined by your doctor and what was his suggestion.
