Pain after synisc injection

I juts had a synvisc one injection 2 days ago. i went for a walk today and started to experience pain at 15 minutes into my walk. Pain was worse than before I had the injection. My doc indicates that my pain is not severe enough to have the knee replaced. Maybe it hasn't been long enough for the injection to work yet, however, I wouldn't expect the pain to be worse. Anybody had similar results. FYI I am 67 years old.

I just had my second syncvisc gel injection and I still have quite a bit of pain. My knees seem stiffer than before and I am experiencing pain in the bend of my knee. I have one more injection to take and I am hoping that I will begin to feel a difference in pain.I did have bruising on both knees and fluid was draw off of my right knee before the second injection could be given.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

A few patients may experience pain/ swelling during the first few days after the injection, due to mild allergic reaction to the drug. Though this is likely to get better on its own, it can occasionally worsen and hence it is best advised to inform your doctor and get this evaluated if the pain/ swelling worsens or you experience any additional symptoms.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
