Pain and swelling long after meniscus surgery

I had meniscus surgery 10 months ago.Just told doctor last week despite initial complications, how happy I was I had it done. Two days ago it began to hurt as badly or worse with swelling. I've been doing moderate aerobic activity...just dancing, no weights above 3 lbs. Iam a 57 yr old female, 5'5" @ 124lbs. What have I done and does this mean I may need a second surgery?
