Patella Alta?

Ok so i have already had 3 knee surgeries (meniscus 1st, acl 2nd, lcl and meniscus 3rd) Since my surgeries i have been having bad knee cap pain and subluxations along with grinding. My surgeon took another mri and said i have patella alta. He was thinking about doing a Vmo advance? Does any one know the rehab for this procedure or if it is done arthroscopic?

Hello!

Patella alta refers to an abnormally high patella in relation to the femur bone. This can result in dislocation of patella.

It will take couple of months of rehab after the surgical correction, some surgeons do the lateral retinacular release, talk with your orthopedician.

Take care!
