Posture and Shoulder Pain

I constantly catch myself holding my left shoulder higher than my right shoulder. I am experiencing pain and tingling in the shoulder and occasionally when I move the shoulder a certain way, I get this feeling in the shoulder that is hard to explain. It is not a sharp pain, but I think it feels like a nerve.  Does anybody have any suggestions.
