Quadriceps Tendinitis - Not getting better

About two weeks ago I was diagnosed with Quadriceps Tendonitis.  Started about two weeks before that with just a slight feeling of my knee needing to pop, and got progressively worse with every day, so in all I've been having symptoms for about a month now.  I did nothing to trigger this, as far as I can remember.

I'm wondering if I got the right diagnosis now though, because my symptoms haven't improved, aside from a little less swelling, in almost two weeks.  My knee is still very painful, and while it does feel like some of the pain is focused on the tendons above my knee, I also have a lot of pain inside the actual joint (at least that's what it feels like).  I can only bend my knee about 60 degrees or so, and this is fairly painful to do.

I have taken it extremely easy and followed my doctor's advice.  Been taking 2 Aleve per day, and I haven't done any activity other than the bare minimum amount of walking that I need to function.  (I couldn't walk at all without crutches for the first 4-5 days).

Does this sound like tendinitis or should I go back to the doctor?
