Question on Hip Flexor Strain

Hi i am an Army Soldier I have only been in for 6 months I got injured during basic training while doing our 60/120 sprints. The pain is sharp and very uncomfortable. I have been told some hip injuries can get you discharged. I just wanted to know how serious is this hip flexor strain? Also I have been going to physical therapy and it does not seem to help. Any advice?

Hi there!

If it is just strain it should not be too serious and should heal well with conservative management including rest, anti-inflammatory medications and gradual physiotherapy.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
