Rehab from knee surgery

I just recently had knee surgery to fix a fractured patella and complete rupture of quadriceps tendon. My ortho has me in a splint for 6 weeks not allowing the knee to bend. What is the rehab for this type of injury/surgery? How does it compare to ACL rehab?
