Rib injury and lump. Hematoma or bone?

Hello Dr.  I am 34 years old I was in a fight accident and had a rib injury.  Since the first day I have had a big half kiwi size lump in the front side of my body 2 inch below my right nipple. I though this was do to the rib and that it would eventually go away.   I have done X-rays but the really do not show broken only dislocated ribs nothing concrete.   It has been 7 weeks and the bump has downsized a bit more than half but its still there. Now it feels more like if it is my bone and not a lump but am unsure.  I look at myself in my right side lump looks like one inch difference going outward which scares me.  I am was in pain for 5 weeks and now am doing a lot better and very little pain.  However I feel weakness in that area.
My questions would be:
1.If this is a hematoma can they last long to heal?  and if so approximately how much time?  Do I have to drain it?
2.What if this is a dislocated rib?  Can it and should it be put back in place?
3.if it stays this way would it be dangerous for my health?  Could the bone stay this way forever?
4.Could this be lifethreating?  Or bones just heal and sometimes they leave this type of scars?
Looking forward in hearing from you.
Thank you,

Hi!
Yes, at times hematomas do not get completely absorbed back. Then they need to be drained. Also, at times a contusion persists for long. It could also be a bone bruise, which will take another few weeks to heal completely.
Yes, if you feel weakness in the area, please show this to your doctor again. It could be due to pinched intercostals nerve or due to damaged nerve endings. This may take time to rejuvenate. Take a multi-vitamin B supplement and see if it helps you. You can also apply warm fomentation and an analgesic cream and see if helps. However, please do consult your doctor again. Take care!
