Hi Dr. Kokila,

My semen analysis is done. Lab tests says Normozoospermia.
Do I need to get treated for Grade I Varicocele. I have a mild pain but not always most of the times I feel the pain in evening times.

Thanks,
Vinay

Thanks Dr. Kokila. Today I consulted Urologist. He recommended a regular urine routine analysis and Doppler Scrutal and he confirmed as Grade I Varicocele.

He suggested me to get the Semen Analysis done.

He didnt mentioned me anything about the cures, What are the treatment options for Grade I varicocele ? I checked in Internet most places they mention of Surgery. Can you please let me know if there is an other options apart from surgery ?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi Vinay!
The pain you are experiencing is probably due to pinched nerves in lower back. Since the pain reduces on rest it is most likely to be due to pinched nerve or muscle strain and less likely to be due to prostatitis.   A hip injury could also be the cause.
Though it may not be related, but since you had casual sex, it would be best to get a STD panel done.
Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please consult your doctor regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
