Shoulder burning and elbow pain

Shoulder burning and elbow pain

I just recently started playing golf at age 63.  I have pain in my left elbow and in the last 2 days developed an intermittent burning sensation in my left shoulder.  The burning is not constant, it comes and goes.  The pain in the elbow is constant.  Will a cold gel elbow brace help with the pain?  What is better to relieve the pain, NSAID or Tylenol?

Thank you,
Barbara

Hello!

Yes, a cold ice packs or elbow brace will help you relieve the pain from inflammation.
Take some rest and if the inflammation subsides you can start playing again or else you should take an appointment for proper examination and diagnosis near an orthopedician.

You can also take some anti inflammatory drugs.

Take care!
