Shoulder problems

I have been sitting with shoulder pain, inflammed muscles, stiffness in my whole arm, weakness, numbness and weakness in my wrist. I feel constant pain in my shoulder when trying to lift my arm. I have constant pain throughout the whole night where i cannot sleep. My arms and hands are always swelling up. The muscles in my shoulder blade are always knotted up. I went from one specialist to the next, from a neurosurgeon where they did an mri and found trauma in the c section of my spine, but couldnt distinguish as to why my hand and arm was swelling. I went to a vascular surgeon, he didnt know what was happening. I have had this for a whole year now. I had a serious accident when I was 12, I broke my collar bone. Please help me find out what is wrong with my arm. I recently had a ultrasound and xrays taken. Everything seemed in order??????

Hi,sorry to know about it,Clinically, this symptom is same as problem that known as  Thoracic Outlet Syndrome ,its' Symptoms include neck, shoulder, and arm pain, numbness, or impaired circulation to the extremities (causing discoloration). Often symptoms are reproduced when the arm is positioned above the shoulder or extended. Patients can have a wide spectrum of symptoms from mild and intermittent, to severe and constant. Pains can extend to the fingers and hands, causing weakness.

So I agree with DrNavneetMD,you should consult a doc again.
Good luck!

Hello Dear,
It seems that the trauma in cervical region  is causing the shoulder pain and weakness. You should consult a physical therapist and do neck exercises and if he suggests you can take traction which may help you.
