Strange Feeling in Legs

Strange Feeling in Legs

At first, I didn't think anything of it because my body is weird when it comes to random pains or strange sensations. But I've been noticing that this has been happened for a few days.

Both my legs have this weak feeling...mainly in the calves or on the side. Sometimes it''s the thighs. But I still have energy when I am walking and doing my activities. The feeling doesn't effect that at all. The only time it comes is at night or when I wake up in the morning. My period has been over, so I doubt it's that. Usually having my period does that to my legs. The feeling eventually goes away during the day, but returns at night or the next morning.

Nothing hurts or anything, so it probably doesn't sound like a huge problem. But I learned that the smallest thing can turn into something big. I guess I need opinions.

Hi there!

Though this doesn’t sound like a major problem I would suggest consulting a primary care physician for causes like nerve impingement/ pressure, inflammations, muscle dystrophies, micronutrient deficiencies related to neuropathies/ musculopathies etc. I would also advise taking a healthy balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables to supply adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals.
Hope this helps.

Take care!

Hmm...I was just put on a diet and I did it for three weeks, but I've been breaking it recently. :-/ Maybe that's the case? I'll just go back on my diet, make sure I follow it correctly, and see what happens. If my legs continue with the weird feeling than I'll see my doctor. Thank you! :)

Hi there!

Yes, dietary deficiency can be an important cause of symptoms like yours. I do not know the details of the kind of diet you were put on, but one must always remember that a diet is not about cutting down on nutrition but about ‘eating healthy’. Unless certain parts of the diet need to be restricted due to specific medical conditions, as advised by a doctor; a well balanced diet, adequate for the amount of physical work, is absolutely necessary. You may also try taking vitamin B complex and calcium supplements and see if these help. If your symptoms do not tend to improve in a few weeks, you may consider seeing a primary care physician.
Hope this was useful.

Take care!
