TKR

I am 9weeks post opp. My knee feels heavy and stiff. When I am in the pool I can move it well but when out of the pool I cannot move it very well at all. Is this normal please.

Hi there!

The level of activity and the symptoms are not particularly abnormal though at 9 weeks post-op a slightly better mobility may be expected. I would suggest considering a review with your treating orthopedician and possibly seeing a physiotherapist, to help improve the muscles strength, movement and weight bearing.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I shall see th Surgeon next week. I have not been to a physio since leaving hospital. I shall take your advice. I have almost no pain. But would like to get back to work soon. Thanking you again for your time.
