Thrapezuim sprain in neck due to car accident

I was in a car accident yesterday and went to the hospital about 5 hrs. later.  The dr said that I have Thrapezuim sprain in my neck.  could you explain what this means and how long recovery usually takes

Trapezius is the muscle in the back has the effect of simultaneously elevating and retracting the scapula(bone in the upper back). The Trapezius is used most commonly to fix the scapula(bone in the upper back) to allow the Deltoid(muscle in the tarm) to move the Humerus.

Origin: Occipital protuberance (base of skull) & Ligaments cervical spine & Spinous processes of C7-T12  of vertebra.

Insertion: Posterior outer 1/3 of the clavicle, Acromion process &Spine of the scapula

Scapula elevation
Scapula retraction
Upward rotation of the scapula

Innervation
Cranial nerve

Daily uses
Shrugging shoulders
Overhead movements

With rest you will heal in couple of weeks. Take care!
