Tingling and itching in toes after hip surgery
I had hip surgery seven weeks ago - the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing in my right hip. Ever since surgery, I have had chronic itching in my right big toe.  Now, I am having tingling - like pins and needles - in my right foot.  I also have pain in my arch.  What could be causing this?  It is really annoying.
I get aong fine - walk, back to most activities, only problem is this tingling.  Can anyone help?

After the hip surgery you have stiffness due to immobilisation of your foot and leg. With Physiotherapy you have these problems relieved.

There is also chance of your nerve fibres compressing and causing irritation to the arch and also to the toes.

Discuss with your surgeon and start physiotherapy. Take care!
