Torn labrum

I suffered a torn labrum last July.. I had my first surgery on Oct 30.. and second one on feb 24.. Im not facing a possible third surgery... Im not responding to any PT and I had two shots of injections last month after a MRI...  My question is. Is it worth it having a 3rd surgery? And if I chose not to have a third surgery.. Will I be permentaly disabled? Im leaning towards the 3rd surgery which is gonna be a open surgery..

Hi there!

I am not really sure if a third surgery would be worthwhile since two of them haven’t worked well. It would be difficult to comment specifically on the situation without the relevant clinical details. I would suggest discussing the expected prognosis in detail with your treating orthopedician before taking a decision.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
