The pain is always present and ranges from about 7-10 on a 10 scale with 10 being the absolute worst. There are times when I cannot feel my feet for several days at a time.

That is all that I can think of right now but to tell you the truth it seems like the doctors I am seeing and that I have seen are really frustrated and just give up.
This has been going on for about the last eight or so years and now I have no idea where to turn.
I am scheduled to see a pain doctor this Friday. Is there something else I should investigate?
Sorry I can't give you any information or advice. I just wanted to tell you I sympathize with your pain. It is so dibilitating and discouraging. I have foot problems also and I get so, so, so, aggravated. There's just no way of ever getting your mind off of it is there?
Good luck
I am so sorry that you are still having all that pain after so long. I have also been having pain in my mid to rear foot, bilaterally. I'm waiting for an MRI scan and if that doesn't show up what is wrong then I will not know what to do for the best. I have tried pain killers, gel pads, analgesic creams, all sorts of different shoes. My feet are very sore even if I wear soft spongy slippers. It feels like the bone joints are inflammed. The more you walk the worse it gets. I am only in my 40's and so need to find a solution as I am not working at the moment. I feel like I am being too soft and feel guilty like should be tougher but the pain just gets the better of me.
I think there is something in pain pathways that once the nerves feel pain, even if the original injury has healed, they still remember the pain and continue to send the messages. A pain management expert may be able to help you with some alternative methods. I hope you get it sorted out.
I have had a lot of pain too in the bottom of my feet for a few years, I have used emu oil for about 8 months and it does help me with the pain a lot, before the further I walked the pain was bad even when I sat down after my feet would kill me, my hands used to swell too and the emu oil stopped that too, just a thought plenty of info on the net about emu oil.
Good luck
