Upper Arm pain

Hi all im sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.  My issue is that i recently slept on a floor with about 3 comforters for support underneath.  I sleep on my sides and when i woke up the next day my left upper arm began hurting. Today it has gotten somewhat worse.  The pain seems to be at the top near my shoulder, where I previously broke my humorous bone about 4-5 years ago. Dont know what it is or how to null the pain,  so please leave ideas/suggestions

Well, without an evaluation it would be difficult to point the cause of your discomfort. Though this is more likely to be muscle strain, other possibilities need to be considered as well; which include ligament tears, fractures, nerve impingement, inflammations like bursitis, capsulitis etc. You may try some NSAIDS and hot fomentation to relieve the pain. If these do not seem to help or your symptoms worsen, you may consider a visit to an orthopedician to rule out the above mentioned possibilities.
