Upper arm soreness

I am a 52 year old female in excellent health.  For about 2 weeks I have had a soreness in the top of my right arm which radiates at times down the front of my arm area.  Also a soreness in my "upper armpit area".  No lumps or swelling noticed.  My upper arm has a tightness to it as if it is being squeezed.  Also, I have noticed the last few days I have some numbness, tingly feeling in my right hand.  When I move my arm, I feel a popping or rubbing of my right shoulder.  When I lift items or carry things it seems to get worse.....at times even my purse will bring on this feel.  It is not a real pain, more of an ache.  Any ideas?

Hello!

Do not lift weights or exert your right arm for some days. Apply ice packs and take NSAIDs to get relief from pain and inflammation.

You have to recollect if you had any injury in the recent past. It can also be due to cervical spinal issues.

Get yourself examined by an orthopedician and consider some scans if your symptoms continue beyond couple of days.
