Weak Knees

by Micky56, Nov 08, 2009 09:57AM
I have been having trouble getting up if I squat down on my knees.  I need to help myself up or someone needs to help me get up.  I do not have any pain.  I'm afraid that my knees will suddenly give and I won't be able to stand or walk,  Is this curable?

Hello,

If this is weakness then you have muscle problems with your quadriceps and hamstrings which aid in supporting your thigh and also for squatting and getting up straight.

You would need physiotherapy, cardio and some strengths training to be physically fit.

Consult an orthopedician for a proper examiantion and take the best possible advise after the diagnosis.

Take care!
