Wrist pain from Crutches

I broke my foot at the beginning of Sept and have been on crutches ever since. In the past week or two, my wrist has begun to bother me. In the past few days, I've been getting little, but annoying pains down the thumb side when i flex it out. Usually it's fine as long as its flexed inwards and I'm not using my thumb.
I can't get into a doctor for a week so I'm just trying to figure out the best way to deal with it for now. I'm trying to use my off hand for everything that I can and am trying to use the crutches supported more by my underarms than hands and wrists. I've started icing it. It isn't really getting any better, but I'm not expecting sudden miracles.
Is there anything else that I should be doing?
