Wrist pop/click

During my piano practices, I probably turned my left wrist to far too quickly and tore some healing part in the wrist. And now every time I turn my left wrist to the far left (not just side to side but also when in the far left position and then moving up and down) there seems to be a pop/click (more of a pop though). There is absolutely NO PAIN, but it's very annoying as it interrupts the smooth progression when playing piano.

Is this an issue that I need to see a doctor for? or will resting eventually heal the wrist?
A google search yielded this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xL5vSVu6EGQ
which seems to be the exact same symptoms that I am experiencing.

I tried using a band to restrict the movement; however, I could not make it tight enough to make the wrist entirely immobile (any tighter cut off blood flow) or enough to push the bone upwards to prevent the clicking. So I resorted to not moving the left hand to the left side where the problem occurs. But after a month it has not seemed to have healed.

This video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHM1CPQT3Wg shows the conditions better than I can describe. But mine is less noticeable and less severe than shown in the video. And as a side note, there is still no pain. Another interesting symptom is that the clicking doesnt seem to happen no matter how I move my wrist when my hand is palms facing up.

Are there any suggested wrist bands/splints/braces that can hold the wrist in position to heal? or is there a better way to treat such a condition?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

I would suggest you to use a crepe bandage or wrist band and limit the movements of your left wrist. Go for some scans and diagnose any tears in your tendons or soft tissue and correlate clinically with the help of an orthopedician.

Minor tears can heal with rest and you can gain strength if you follow up with physiotherapy. It is difficult to comment without any scans, rest for couple of days and apply ice packs if you develop any pain and inflammation.

Take care!
