sir, my left hip joint have been cut out by an oppretion in 1999because of infection.now leg became shorten by 3 inches and also have motin problam.can an arthoplasty solve my these problems yet time became so much?if yes than how much time will it take to all fitness because i m student in jnu .so have bussy study period.

Arthroplasty (literally "formation of joint") is an operative procedure of orthopedic surgery performed, in which the arthritic or dysfunctional joint surface is replaced with something better or by remodeling or realigning the joint by osteotomy or some other procedure.*
I would like to say that even if the injury is 7-8 years old, the doctors would prefer to do an arthroscopy and then go ahead with arthroplasty.
Diagnostic evaluation of hip joint would be done and then would have decided regarding the management. In hands of good surgeon, the recovery is faster and better.
It will depend upon how the surgery goes and then fitness recovery would be planned.
