biological knee replacement

Regarding Dr. Stone's biological knee replacement.. are there other doctors performing a similar treatment? Rush hospital's site indicates they take patients under 45 yrs for the procedure. I'm 55 and wondering how many people have had the bio replacement done and to what level of success. If possible, I'd like to ski again (perhaps not agressively, but at least the easy runs).

Hello!

Orthopaedic surgeons continue to look for good effective alternative methods to artificial knee replacement surgery.

'Biological knee replacement' is a term made popular by Dr Kevin Stone, of The Stone Clinic in San Francisco where you can contact.

This involves repair of your damaged ligaments (articular and meniscal) and a strict rehab programme. Your physical fitness has to be ascertained before you can undergo this procedure.

You have to follow up with an expert who does biological knee replacement.

Take care!
