buttock pain

I am 23 year old un married woman,i am having a pain in my right buttock,the pain incraeses when i rest.It goes away while taking pain killers.I am having this pain since a week.Recently 2 days back i join a gym n yoga club. The pain increases slightly due to excersize.what type of pain it is?it is only there in my right buttock.

Hello Dear,
The pain could be due to muscle pull from overexertion or over use.You should take rest  do back extension exercises and can apply some topical gel.Hot fomentation can be done.If the pain still persists after a couple of days you should see an orthopedician and get the cause evaluated.
