complete tear subscapularis in 14 year old boy

My son, 14, has complete tear of subscapularis and partial labrum tear in his main arm due to football when hit while throwing football on May 21. June 6 he had mini repair with arthroscope and incision. Doctor states good repair. no other injury.  Long recovery with phyisical therapy for four- six months. Can he can regain 100% range of motion and strength of his arm? What is the probability of full recovery if he is very motivated? Not much information on someone his age with this significant,unusual injury.
