consistent pain when weight bearing

consistent pain when weight bearing

7 weeks after TKR.  Constant and consistent pain when weight bearing where prosthesis joins tibia at medial aspect at tibial plateau.  Flexion and extension coming along just fine, but pain when weight bearing is slowing every other aspect of rehab.  I can't walk without a line of PAIN at this point.

Is there a reason for this pain?  When will it go away?  This really *****.

Hello!

Do not worry and work out physiotherapy without fail everyday to strengthen your quadriceps and your knee joint after your TKR.

This is necessary and the pain will decrease by 12 weeks and minimize by 6 months.

You would need rigorous physiotherapy to come into shape.

Remember you can have occasional pain killers and also a day off but return back with proper physiotherapy and use ice packs regularly after workouts to decrease the pain and inflammation.

Stay motivated and determined.

Take care!
