cuboid fracture

cuboid fracture

About 6 months ago I was a passenger in a car accident.  I had a pretty severe injury to my arm that required surgery.  I also had lacerations to my right foot.  I was discharged from the hospital after a few days with an orthotic boot amongst other things relating to other injuries.  I was basically told to wear the boot until my lacerations healed.  I have recently obtained a copy of my medical records for health insurance reasons.  While reviewing my records I happened to notice that I was diagnosed with a cuboid fracture to my right foot.  I was never told about this fracture.  Since the accident I have had a lot of pain in my foot, and when I asked my orthopedic surgeon (he worked on my arm) about my foot he basically just told me that he could refer me to a podiatrist.  He never told me about the fracture.  I am upset about this.  I enjoy outdoor activities such as rock climbing and backpacking.  I am only 22 and I feel like I have a 60 year old foot.  What should I do about this?  I appreciate any advice.

These take for ever to get better! I would suggest to go to see a foot specialist and request that he/she send you for an MRI or bone scan.
